Please contact A.J.M Transport Training for the DVLA application
forms that you require. The average price for the L.G.V medical

When all the forms are completed the pupil applies to the

must be passed before the practical test can be taken. We
recommend "home study" by purchasing a copy of "The

The L.G.V/H.G.V Test
The driving or practical test as it is known is conducted
at a Driving Standards Agency Test Centre similar to a car
test centre but on a larger premises. The test is conducted
by a D.S.A. Examiner. The test itself consists of two phases
on site and on road. The reversing exercise and the braking
exercise are conducted on site at the test centre itself.
The second phase or on road lasts about one hour, and the
examiner will ask the pupil to conduct certain set exercises.
The test route will take in all types of road, including town
and country roads, dual carriageway and motorway. The examiner
will check the pupil's use of road procedure with regard to
the use of mirrors and signals, use of speed, positioning,
awareness, dealing with junctions, pedestrian crossings etc.
as the test is conducted.
